Sunday marked ValloCycle’s third annual Montevallo Tour-by-Bike, an activity that introduced incoming freshmen and other riders to different landmarks in town.

The state’s first citywide bike-sharing program met at 3 p.m. for a 90-minute bike ride including visits to the UM Organic Community Garden, Montevallo Parks Trail, University Lake, Main Street and Orr Park.

ValloCycle loaned bicycles and helmets to participants while Eclipse Coffee and Books offered a complimentary meal.
