On Sept. 9, the University Program Council (UPC) brought out a blowup water slide called the “Niagara,” ice cones and a dunk booth for their Waterfest event on Lund Quad. The event started at 4:30 p.m. to a little rain fall, but once it passed the water fun began.

Madison Imbush, a member of the sorority Chi Omega, said that the event was put on mainly for sorority recruitment. “It’s just a way for us to meet more girls and also it’s something fun to do.”

Although the event was mostly for sorority recruitment, a variety of students were present.

In regards to the dunk booth, UPC staff member Hunter Huie said, “Both the Gold and Purple leaders were dunked. Then the dunk button stopped working so random people started dunking themselves. It was quite fun to watch.”

The next UPC event is Mocktails on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m.
