College cuisine: Cream cheese taco dip

Whenever you go to Moe’s in Farmer, you get a free bag of nachos with your purchase, but, being on a budget, you can’t afford that luxury every night of the week! Here’s an easy-to-make and easy-to-dip back-up for when your cup runs dry of that delicious queso. All these ingredients can be found at Lucky’s at the end of Main Street, and it will save you money in the end when you go dip-less on those dreary college days.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. plain cream cheese

  • 8 oz. cup of sour cream

  • 1 packet of taco seasoning, preferably Taco Bell™ brand

  • Moe’s™ nachos, for dipping

Instructions:

1.       Allow the cream cheese to sit at room temperature until softened, or, if accessible, microwave for 25 seconds.

2.       Combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream into a bowl. Any old cereal bowl will do. Use a plastic spoon to fold the two together.

3.       Add the taco seasoning and stir until all ingredients are mixed well.

Note: If you aren’t a fan of hot spices, I recommend gradually adding the seasoning into the dip while taste testing so the heat doesn’t beat you.

4.       Serve with your Moe’s nachos (or any other chips you may happen to have).

5.       Write a novel.
