Following the Montevallo Gold and Purple Intrasquad meet, a practice meet before the real season began, the Montevallo Men’s and Women’s Swim team moved on to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Virtual Cup on Nov. 5.

The meet was done entirely virtual over four rounds. Each team participating in the meet had to record each session and include electronic timing systems. The times from the meet are not eligible for any NCAA Qualifications, but they are eligible for any other future CSCAA events.

The University of Montevallo placed 8 out of 19 teams in round four of the meet. The Falcons did not win any medals, but six swimmers achieved new personal bests, while fifteen achieved season bests.

The next meet will be in-person at Emmanuel College. The meet will follow NCAA COVID-19 guidelines. Competition at the meet will include Emmanuel College, Brenau University, Point University and Piedmont College.
