In their Conference home opener for the 2014 season, the Montevallo Lady Falcons swept the Lander Bearcats 3-0 with scores of 25-16, 25-13 and 25-10. The game had a lively atmosphere with a high student attendance. Along with that, the lady Falcons were in control of the match from the first point.

The frontline established itself early with freshman middle blocker Kristy Bohan recording some early blocks. Bohan had a stellar game recording 13 kills and also her highest hitting percentage in her career at .632.

It was not lone effort from just one or two players in the match, everyone contributed.

Junior setter, Briana Marquez was a big help also, adding 43 assists in the match.

Senior middle blocker Katie Best did what she has been doing all season and recorded 13 kills. Best also led the lady Falcons on an 8-0 run serving, in the final set.

The Lady Falcons are now 3-2 in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play and are 12-6 overall. Their next home game will be against PBC opponent Georgia College, on Oct. 14.
